About
My defining characteristics are an unbridled interest in learning about the world around me, a desire to turn strangers into friends, and working hard to develop my skills and strengths to better prepare myself for the future.
To those ends, I enjoy a variety of extracurricular activities, including serving as Yearbook humor and copy editor, volunteer peer-tutoring, organizing prayer services, founding a history journal and a medical journal, participating in Debate Club and Model U.N., joining a junior firefighter program, and lifeguarding, among other activities.

I wish that I could show you all of my interests on this page, but I know that your time is valuable! I've highlighted a few of my favorite activities here.
Model U.N., Debate & Historical Interests
"It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it."
-Joseph Joubert

(I go by "Ari" among my friends.)
Some of my favorite extracurriculars center around my interest in history, which was first sparked when I was in elementary school. Participating in debate team and model U.N. and founding a history journal (not to mention an amazing experience at History Day Long Island in eighth grade) helped me expand my knowledge base, develop arguing, thinking and writing skills, and make friends!

Medical Education, Journals & Training
I've been interested in the medical field ever since I joined hospital rounds with my grandfather when I was in middle school, and I've been very fortunate to explore the many parts of this field by shadowing physicians, contributing to and founding medical journals, and participating in a medical course at Georgetown University.

While a student at DRS, I contributed often to its medical journal, writing about, among other topics, the interrelation between cracking knuckles and arthritis and virtual reality’s effects on healthcare.

I also founded a medical journal at HAFTR.

Pursuing my lifeguarding certification was a no-brainer for me as an extension of my desire to learn and experience all things medical. I relish the opportunity to keep swimmers safe! I have also learned so much from my experience as a Woodmere Fire Department Junior, and look forward to continuing my education in this area and to develop my fire-fighting and life-saving skills through this awesome program.

Basketball
“Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.”
- Matt Biondi

I've loved playing basketball as far back as I can remember, and spent years honing my abilities through intramurals, lessons, casual games with friends and solo practicing, until my skills were ready for team play. I am so happy to be a HAFTR Hawk - it was worth the wait and persistent hard work to make the team! I was fortunate to be selected to represent JOLT (Jewish Overseas Leadership Training) at the 2025 NCSY Auburn Experience Tournament.
